Reasons to come to Malakoff, TexasMalakoff is located approximately 65 miles southeast of Dallas on Highway 31 between Athens and Corsicana. The 4th weekend
in March we will be celebrating the Annual KCKL Big Bass Tournament on beautiful Cedar Creek Lake. The Tournament
will be held at Log Cabin City Park located on FM3054 off Highway 198 outside Malakoff. The fee per day is $65.00 up
thru March 21, 2009. After that date, the fee is $70.00 per day. They also feature a kids division for just $10.00
a day. This makes the kids eligible for all prices including the Grand Prize. For more information call 903-489-1518

the Annual Cornbread Festival. This is a fun event featuring lots of "Corny" events. One event
is the "Cornhole Tournament'. The Chamber is working to sanction this event. The "Cornbread
Cookoff" is another. Lots of do alot of baking and stirring to try to win this event. Numerous booths will
be available to satisfy your urge to shop, and, of course, lots of live entertainment. To get a booth and additional

Thank you for checking our the Malakoff Chamber of Commerce web site. Malakoff, Texas is located approximately
65 miles southeast of Dallas, and is situated on Highway 31. Malakoff, Texas is the "Gateway" to Cedar Creek
Lake. Cedar Creek Lake is the second largest lake in Texas, and it compliments the area with great fishing and boating.
We are close to shopping and activities in Athens, Corsicana, Tyler, and Dallas. Malakoff is also a fun place to shop
with approximately 12 antique shops, an active Chamber of Commerce, Garden Club, Rotary Club,and Historical Society.
Malakoff, Texas is also home to the Red Waller Community Library, 2 brand new elementary schools, high school and middle
school.
